Some things are just waiting to be seen again

The Story Behind Lindique

In a world where everything is mass-produced, I wanted to create something different.
Lindique emerged from an idea of transformation – not just of objects, but as a philosophy: that anything given time, care, and attention can be given new life.

The Journey That Shaped the Philosophy

My name is Linda, and I grew up in Haugesund, Norway. But the journey that shaped Lindique began far from home – and long before the first object was transformed.

As a teenager, I moved to the USA to work at Disney World. It was my first encounter with a world grander than I had imagined – a place where culture, people, and opportunities unfolded in every direction. There, I learned how much one grows when taking chances, and how strongly new surroundings can shape us.

From there, my path led to China, where I worked as an English teacher.
Living far from home, surrounded by an unfamiliar language and culture, taught me patience, courage, and the ability to stand firm in unpredictable situations.

Then came Thailand – initially as a volunteer. What started as a desire to contribute quickly became something much greater. Here, I became part of a volunteer group working to improve the living standards of animals in captivity. Here, I learned what transformation truly means in practice: how environment, small changes, and dedicated work can give value, security, and new life to something previously overlooked or forgotten.

After this, I moved to Australia, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Business. During almost all holidays, I returned to Thailand to continue my volunteer work – work that gradually became one of the most formative parts of my life.

After my studies, I moved back to Thailand, this time to join the permanent international staff. When the organization later closed, we continued working with Thai authorities and partners to secure funding and improve conditions for the animals in their new environments. It was a profound experience of what transformation truly is: slow, demanding, and driven by action, hope, and will.

The Core of Lindique.

This philosophy is the very heart of Lindique.
Here, I transform forgotten interior treasures into one-of-a-kind art objects – through structure, depth, time, and conscious craftsmanship. Nothing is mass-produced. Each object receives new expression, new value, and a new future.

The Lindique Circle

In extension of my experiences, I established The Lindique Circle – a promise that each year, 10% of future profits will go to projects working for animals, people, and nature.
Thus, transformation gains power even beyond the objects I create.

This is my story.

And it carries the entire brand.
